 Peter Marino

Founding Partner,

Peter Marino is a seasoned business executive, with over 30 years experience in sales, marketing and management. As a well established power networker with a proven track record of success demonstrated by the ability to develop, and implement innovative strategies resulting in maximized value to his clients.  He has held senior sales leadership positions with Long Island Savings Bank, Bank of America, Arbor National Mortgage and First Boston. Recently Peter was the principle of GreenStreet Financial Group, one of regions most respected real estate based mortgage firms.

Recognized for depth of character, networking and business development skills, Peter is a visionary who is an expert in the art of negotiating, relationship marketing and has demonstrated his expertise in reengineering work flows and targeted problem areas which improved efficiency and profitability. His dedication as a hand on, roll up the sleeves executive has always resulted changes that enabled companies for accelerated growth. His dedication to offering extreme value to his clients has created an extensive network of successful long term relationships. Peter never seeks to simply meet expectations; he is committed to exceeding them.

Peter is a respected marketing and housing industry expert who has been interviewed by a number of business and financial publications. He has been quoted in the Long Island Business News and has been profiled in this publications Who’s Who in The Mortgage Industry. He has also been interviewed by Newsday and appeared on Channel News 12 Long Island.

Peter recently served as an advisory board member for The Preferred Provider Network, a leading networking business development organization.  He has offered presentations in front of numerous business networking groups & organizations .Peter served as chairman for the American Heart Association Annual Gala. He was co-chairman for the Business of The Year Gala for the Hunting Chamber of Commerce and sat on the Board of Directors of The Townwide Fund ofHuntington


Philip Caporusso,

Founding Partner, CPA, MST

For the past 25 years Mr. Caporusso has advised and participated in assisting his clients in varios  aspects of their business. A roll up your sleeves approach assisting in reorganizations, development of growth strategies, cost controls and management systems. His involvement in pre-selling planning, and subsequent sale, enabled clients to successfully market’ and sell their business at the right time while maximizing the sales price. This experience of guiding his clients through many buy’s and sales of their business has given Mr. Caporusso insightful knowledge which makes him invaluable asset to the GreenStreet Capital team.      

In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, has received his Master’s Degree in Taxation. His experience in public accounting has been with both small and large firms. As a partner in the firm Phil Caporusso provides accounting services for his clients including forensic audit, audit, review and compilation services. He also prepares corporate, individual, fiduciary and estate tax returns, and represents his clients before taxing authorities. Mr. Caporusso consults with his clients on business financing matters, which include traditional bank-financing, asset based lending, and equity financing through private placement memorandums. He also performs personal financial planning, pension and retirement planning for his clients.

Mr. Caporusso started his career working for the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young. After spending time on the audit staff there, he transferred to the tax department and became a tax manager. After seven years at Ernst & Young he left to start the firm of Ferrera, DeStefano & Caporusso, CPAs in June 1990. Mr. Caporusso received his B.B.A. in Accounting from Pace University and his Masters Degree in Taxation from Long Island University.



Michael J. DeStefano,

Founding Partner, CPA, CVA        

Mr. DeStefano is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) specializing in the valuations of privately held businesses. His experience has been in both the public and private accounting sectors. As a partner with Ferrera, DeStefano & Caporusso, he has extensive experience in the areas of business valuations, consulting business owners on organizational structure, accounting systems, operations and financing. In addition he has extensive experience in advising high net worth individuals on investments and tax planning. He also has helped individuals starting new business with the creation of detailed business plans to help the individuals plan for their business needs. Mr. DeStefano also has a strong background in all areas of individual, business and estate taxation and has successfully represented his clients before the taxing authorities.

Prior to becoming a partner in Ferrera, DeStefano & Caporusso, he was in the private sector serving as Controller/Chief Financial Officer in both the financial and wholesale industries. Before entering the private sector he had worked for the international accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand and a small accounting firm. He received his B.B.A. in Accounting fromHofstraUniversity.


Anthony Ferrera,

Founding Partner, CPA, MST 

Mr. Ferrera is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master’s Degree in Taxation. He has experience in both the public accounting profession and in the software industry. As a partner at Ferrera, DeStefano & Caporusso he uses his experience to assist clients through their growth with projections and forecasts. He also consults on accounting and software systems, helps in the selection and implementation of pension plans and works with the clients to help sell or otherwise transfer their business interests. He uses his tax experience to work with individuals and business owners to not only prepare their tax returns, but to plan to reduce their tax burden. Additionally, he represents individuals and business owners before the taxing authorities.

Before becoming a partner at Ferrera, DeStefano & Caporusso, Mr. Ferrera first worked for the international accounting firms of Peat Marwick Main & Co. (audit department) and Grant Thornton (tax department). Thereafter, he joined Prentice Hall Professional Software, Inc. as Director of Tax Support to further his tax and computer knowledge. He received his B.B.A. in Accounting fromPaceUniversityand his Master’s Degree in Taxation fromLong Island University
